Denham Springs Elementary School Philosophy

     We, the faculty of Denham Springs Elementary School, believe the most important
purpose of education is to further the development of society.  Our hope is to promote an atmosphere
where parents are willing to entrust their children to us with the understanding that each
child will receive the preparation needed to become a citizen of the world's community.
     We believe that a pleasant teacher-pupil relationship is of utmost importance
 in promoting a good atmosphere for learning.  We wish to foster and encourage the
development of creative abilities by providing opportunities for self-expression and
self-discipline through various activities.  We believe that individual differences
contribute variety and spice to living.
     We believe that education is a continuous process, and it cannot be separated
 from the total aspect of growing, of being, and of becoming the best a child can be.
