This year we are
using a combination of several programs -
Phun
Phonics,
Project Read, Houghton Mifflin, and Spaulding. We are
learning the sounds through music, tactile experiences, drill and
practice, and other multisensory approaches. We use the
Louisiana Comprehensive Curriculum as a basis for choosing which
sounds and letter patterns we will be learning. Each week, our
spelling words consist of words that can be sounded out, and we will
have 2 or 3 words that need to be memorized (Dolch words).
